Mr Paul Cooke is an established international expert in foot and ankle surgery. He qualified in Sheffield in 1977, later gaining FRCS (London) in 1981, and MCh 1990. He underwent postgraduate training in Sheffield, Bristol, Plymouth, Melbourne and Oxford before becoming a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre NHS Trust (“NOC”) in 1989, a position he still holds.
Mr Cooke founded the Foot and Ankle Unit at the NOC and has introduced many new surgical techniques to Oxford and the UK, including foot and ankle arthroscopy, modern techniques in forefoot surgery and ankle replacement. He is the senior consultant foot and ankle specialist in Oxford.
He is Past President and Past Secretary of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery Society, and has been a council member of the European Foot and Ankle Surgery Society.
