Mr Bing is the Primary Investigator in Oswestry. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Bristol Medical School and his SHO training in the University Hospitals of Leicester. In 2002 he came to Shropshire having obtained a post on the Oswestry/Stoke Trauma and Orthopaedic Specialist Registrar training programme and has worked in Telford, Dudley, Stoke-on-Trent, Shrewsbury and Oswestry during his rotation.
With extensive Orthopaedic and Trauma training and success in the Intercollegiate Board exams Mr Bing has gone on to sub-specialise in foot and ankle disorders and limb deformity problems spending a year in the Foot and Ankle Unit in Oswestry and gaining experience in limb deformity work during the last two years of his training. He has also been on a fellowship to the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics, Kurgan, Russia to study frame surgery particularly in foot and ankle, deformity and infective problems.
Areas of interest include all aspects of ankle, hind, mid and forefoot surgery including problems associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Also lower limb reconstruction including realignment surgery, post-traumatic reconstruction, complex trauma reconstruction and infective problems in limb reconstruction.
